@cdegroot@mstdn.ca “First of all, “know thy enemy”.” I think the assumption that critics don’t know enough about LLMs is a common one, and it’s incorrect.

@cdegroot@mstdn.ca Christopher Alexander’s A Pattern Language has been a major influence on my view of “the created environment”, with his ideas and examples how people to take control themselves (instead of leaving it to architects). Amazing you got this opportunity to work with him!

@cdegroot@mstdn.ca Hi Cees, very well written. The projects you describe sound like great fun and your collaboration/friendship with Alexander sounds like a wonderful life opportunity. The "Parting words" section totally resonates with my approach to GenAI! It's true that people here are generally quite hostile to this technology, in ways that sometimes I find a bit annoying. Well done for being brave enough to share the post nonetheless. ❤️👍
