App review times are painfully long right now, even for iOS app updates. I’ve had updates for brrr and Jayson waiting since Sunday and Monday, respectively, and they’re still waiting.
In the past many years, reviews were usually completed within a few hours or maybe a day.
The current situation reminds me of the review times when I started iOS development 17 years ago, when waiting a week for review was completely normal.
Apple needs to fix this.

@simonbs@mastodon.social I wonder if apple has an app review response time heuristic. Simple updates to my existing apps are often both responded to and accepted within 48 hours. New apps, or complex changes to existing apps, often seem to require a slightly longer wait before I receive the in review notification. This all could be in my head. Updates to existing apps are already running in testflight so I don’t really feel any delay.

Updates for both brrr and Jayson have now been waiting for review for more than seven days. I think it’s time to resubmit the builds and see if that changes anything.
