@ajn142@infosec.exchange I'm wondering if it could be an artifact of how questions were phrased, or responses collected. Someone who'd never had to think about executive function before might refer to their reactions to things in life as "seeming to not care to do anything", which could be recorded as apathy. @Doomed_Daniel@mastodon.gamedev.place @currentbias@zeroes.ca

@ZenHeathen@beige.party @ajn142@infosec.exchange @currentbias@zeroes.ca As fatigue (up to extreme Chronic Fatigue Syndrom) is a common long COVID symptom (incl. measurable decline of fitness) I don't think that's "just" a mental issue due to lack of dopamine - that virus often damages many parts of the body. The combination of decreased physical fitness and memory/concentration/executive issues probably is pretty depressing and prevents ADHD-style stimulation that could otherwise make up for the lack of dopamine
