@ZenHeathen@beige.party @currentbias@zeroes.ca Yeah, of course - it's just a noteworthy difference that long COVID also comes with apathy and fatigue, so it's probably worth investigating why the lack of Dopamine can have such different results. (Maybe the fatigue-part has additional reasons like a fucked up lung that can't provide as much oxygen anymore)

You all make fun of the goose with the golden eggs, but "the value is in the goose" is something that game studios and other tech companies doing mass layoffs, thinking that their franchises are their biggest assets, apparently still don't get

I don't think I'll stop using Firefox anytime soon. Yes, their management are fucking idiots and it's annoying that I'll have to disable new AI features whenever they release them.. But the alternative is to use something Chromium-based, which would make Google's domination of web technology absolute - and Google is 100x more evil than Mozilla ever could be. I hope this fucking bubble pops before Mozilla fucks up Firefox so badly that it becomes complete...

Is there anything more idiotic than "necro-bumping" rules in forums? There's a forum thread to a still relevant topic, maybe even on the first page of search engine results, but when you add current information that's "necrobumping" and the thread is closed..

RE: https://wandering.shop/@xgranade/116483615490658632 OMG imagine how great that bug (see also https://github.blog/security/securing-the-git-push-pipeline-responding-to-a-critical-remote-code-execution-vulnerability/) could've been in combination with copy_fail

Oh fun, Github doesn't show all open pull requests anymore - not sure which exactly are missing, but at least one of them is from me and was still in Draft state, so it's possible that their LLM decided not to show drafts in the open PR list anymore At least the affected PRs still exist, e.g. https://github.com/dhewm/dhewm3/pull/585 - you just can't find them anymore 🙃

When the AI hype is over, many tech companies will wake up with a really bad hangover once they realize how much talent they lost due to: - People they fired so they have more money for ~~crack~~ nvidia hardware - People who quit because they were fed up with the bullshit - People who turned into vegetables by using "AI" too much

Earlier this week I released the third (and hopefully last) Release Candidate for dhewm3 1.5.5: https://dhewm3.org/#dhewm3-1.5.5-release-candidate-3 Testing is very welcome! The biggest changes since 1.5.4 are: * Removed microstutters, runs at smooth 60FPS now instead of trying to run at 62.5FPS which is bad on 60Hz screens with VSync * Support for aspect-ratio-independent GUIs (HUD and menus). Requires updated GUIs, dhewm3 provides ones for base game, D3XP and Lost Mission * Lots of bugfixes...
