@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org Well, it does say it's trying to reduce "low-quality" AI content. 🤷🏻♀️

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org Good soldiers (LinkedIn is where Horrors happen) report random posts left and right, slop and not, indiscrimininately

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org @briankrebs@infosec.exchange Wrong, it's to build a list of those who won't comply and sell it to HR.

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org I had the same idea! Why would they otherwise jam it into a button especially for that It probably goes right back to a LLM to begin with

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org If one dish at the table is AI slop, all the dishes at the table are slop

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org Honestly, I think it's both. They don't want people to just think "LinkedIn is just slop anyways, no reason for me to give them literally every detail about me" and not use them, but they ALSO want to train more human sounding AI models because Microsoft profits if their model is harder to detect as not a person.

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org I'm like Oprah when I log on to LI and set my console js loose... you get a slop mark, and you get a slop mark, everybody gets a slop mark!

@neurovagrant@masto.deoan.org Best way to use it, is to report non-AI generated slop. But there must be little of that in LI nowadays.
