  The beach was windy today and the wind was hot. That almost never happens. Not exactly refreshing. Saw a small husky playing in the surf with her humans, loping into the waves to her dog-mum and back to the sand to dog-dad. When I walked past she came running to see me with a big smile on her face and sniffed the flip-flops I was carrying before bounding off into the water again.   I forgot I transplanted these day lilies into the compound garden. They're putting on quite a show. As I was taking the photos I got yelled at by the robin who has a nest in the grape arbour which is near the lilies. Then I got yelled at by an irate sparrow.   Drove by a Sobeys this afternoon. The sign out front that advertises weekly specials was trumpeting TAYLOR FARMS SALADS. I dunno, if I was the store manager I might have gone with something else on that big ol' sign, for now at least.
