After running my car down from 100% charged to (iirc) 16%, the regen percentage is In, and it’s more than I would have thought. My car’s battery is 84kWh (unsure if net or gross). 26.4/84 equals about 31%. So regen contributed about a third, almost, to my car’s useful range. Wow.

    @bloor@bloor.tw saves a huge bunch on brake pads, too. I’m still amazed at my PHEV Golf GTE. It happily knocks out 70 miles on battery and then 60+ mpg on petrol. Well, it does unless I go all a bit silly with it 😉

    Now I don’t usually charge my car up to 100%, generally leaving it at 80% for battery longevity. And the interesting thing is that regen doesn’t work at all at 100% and I think not as well at even 95% or lower. So if in more “optimal for regen” conditions, it will likely be even better pro-rata.
