The NT in Windows NT did not originally mean "New Technology". This myth has to die.

@thomholwerda@exquisite.social Correct, it was because the original target CPU - the Intel i860 - was codenamed "N-Ten" Shame the Intel i860 was such a bizzare beast and had one of the worst official compilers known to man as well as one of the most convoluted pipelines ever... both of which were beaten by Itanium. i960 was cooler imho
