@superball@norcal.social @me the principle that volume grows as the third power ('cube') of the size of something, but the surface area grows as the second power ('square')
At some point you run into problems like being able to do enough gas exchange or physically hold up the mass of a solid body.
Basically, math means you can't have giant ants (or locusts, or spiders, or…)
