@obtener@mastodon.world this is going to sound really snarky, but this is a great example post because it generalizes both farming and hosting to the point that it's implied all of it is bad somehow even though we also all depend on it, and offers nothing but judgement. I really wish we'd be better at nuance and constructive criticism.

@obtener@mastodon.world Absolutely… I’ve lived through a number of droughts more severe than the dustbowl 30s …without the dust. Of significant note: many of the policies, practices, and norms that made America a great place through the 20th century were demanded and won after business interests ran the country into the ground. Time to do it again, and this time not let even a world war leave the job unfinished.
