Remember when people lost their fucking minds for some secret project called just "it" or "Ginger"? And all the tech luminaries - people like Steve Jobs - claimed this amazing secret thing would completely revolutionize transportation? That entire city infrastructures would be redesigned around it? And then it turns out it was the Segway? This is a post about the tech industry as a whole.

@robz@toot.robzazueta.com Though a remote relative of the Segway did revolutionise urban transport in a way - the humble electric scooter 🛴. Unfortunately, the rented ones have become quite a nuisance here and probably everywhere else…
