@Mrfunkedude@beige.party well, I had to stop watching once they showed that Stilgar, the Naib of Naibs, had gone full fangirl about Muad’Dib. I have yet to finish chapter 2.

The tension between Paul and the Fremen was so important, and also loops directly into one of the things that made Chani so fucking important in the first place! You got the feeling they'd have had Atreidis in the still before morning without her advocacy. Like, she's literally the foot in the door that gives Stilgar motivation to give Paul a shot in the first place. I've been excited to watch those, but maaaan I didn't expect that to get papered over
