I never saw a single toot about Taylor Swift getting married. I didn't know she got married until I saw a photo on the national news broadcaster's website. I was away from Mastodon for a few hours today. Within minutes of logging back on, I knew Bonnie Tyler had died and was nodding in agreement at all the toots paying respects to that excellent singer. I feel this illustrates something about the Fediverse.

@CiaraNi@mastodon.green I searched Mastodon, and it says that Swift is a programming language mostly used on Apple devices, and is not eligible to marry in most states 🤷♂️

I mean absolutely no disrespect to Taylor Swift there. She's a multi-talented artist who has broken barriers and taken on the people, the industry men, who wanted to profit by controlling her. She has spoken up for ordinary people and especially young women. I just like the fact that the Fediverse is not that interested in celebrity spectacle-weddings. Or maybe most of us are just too old to stay up late for them.
