@gloriouscow@oldbytes.space Oh yeah. yes. my mum has had tiny dogs. Little unknown pee spots around EVERY BIT OF FURNITURE that piled up over the years. ...and then there are the boy toilets. halfway up the frickin walls....

@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social it's fascinating how your cat can hork on your carpet and you can go over it six times with all manner of detergents and enzymatic sprays and yet the UV light will show you the exact, original hork pattern in perfect, 4K detail until the heat death of the universe. i went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what the UV-reactive molecules in cat puke even were and what sort of reactions might destroy them i got nothing.

@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social @gloriouscow@oldbytes.space The house I'm living in had a serious mouse or rat infestation some time before I moved in. I find old droppings all over - in the loft, under floors, inside the walls. (It makes me very careful where I put my hands when I'm working on the place.) I have a little UV light that runs on button cells but it only reveals stuff at very close range. I really should get myself a good bright flashlight and check out the whole crime scene in technicolour.
