@clmerle@mstdn.social Copper is easy to sell but how would thieves go on to sell expensive equipment or parts (RAM, flash drives), all having trackable serial numbers? Is there a data center black market where potential buyers don't care about having a warranty and service? Well, OTOH there are a lot of gamers starved for some of these parts...

And two wrongs don't make a right. Just because AI data centers stole copyrighted material to feed their models it doesn't make heroes out of the data center copper thieves.
