@signalapp make the minimum donation lower and you'll find yourself begging less often. I refuse to keep funding Signal if you are incapable to listen to your user base. We're in difficult economic times. Not everyone is in the US. $5/month is too expensive when you magically add taxes on after the fact. Please read the room. 10 people perpetually paying $1/month is better than a one time $100 payment.... Heck 50 people paying $0.50/month. Be smarter, beg less.

The world is in a bad way, but with people like this, it's easy to see why... And there can be no dialogue because if you don't think like them, you're against them, and they block you. Such narrow-mindedness... These people call us Nazis, but they do exactly the same thing. It's insane! How can the world get better? With people like that, it's impossible. Unfortunately. 🙁

@Aquilla @signalapp While the location of a privacy-focused service does matter, the technology behind it matters even more. Laws can change, and shift their stance on privacy at any moment. What truly makes Signal strong isn’t where it’s based, but how it’s built: end-to-end encryption and virtually zero metadata retention. These design choices mean that even if a government demanded data, Signal simply wouldn’t have anything meaningful to hand over.

@signalapp No. Not as long as the salaries at the top are as ridiculously high as seen earlier this year. Get your finances in order first, then consider asking for donations. There are better things to sponsor then sillycon valley style salaries.

@signalapp we are a legal defense committee for several U.S. political prisoners whose legal case is hinged on their use of Signal to allegedly coordinate a noise demo at an ICE facility on July 4. They're indicted on "antifa" terrorism charges by the US FBI under Trump's memo NSPM-7 & have bonds up to $15 million. The jury trial starts Feb 17, 2026 in Fort Worth, TX, & part of the gov's evidence is that they were using Signal. Would you be willing to have a conversation with us about this case?
