I do find it fascinating that nobody seems to know how long the game is. That seems like a flaw in the structure?

I decided to pay attention to soccer around minute 85 of that game, and WOW did that decision pay off for me

@c_9@mstdn.ca The ball is round. A game lasts 90 minutes. Everything else is pure theory.

@c_9@mstdn.ca It is a continuous clock. It doesn’t stop for injuries. So they add time at the end to compensate. So they have 45 minutes of playing time plus any stoppage time that gets added. Most other sports stop the clock when play stops.
