@c_9@mstdn.ca It is a continuous clock. It doesn’t stop for injuries. So they add time at the end to compensate. So they have 45 minutes of playing time plus any stoppage time that gets added. Most other sports stop the clock when play stops.

@RichardNairn@mstdn.ca Yes, I figured that much. But the secretive nature of the remaining time is just wild to me. The commentators saying things like “how much time is left” LOL
