@CordiallyChloe@tech.lgbt i certainly didn't have energy for it at the time. Now that it's been a year...maybe. but I also dont think people really get how insidious it is when it happens. Technically, I was offered a choice: I could redo all my paperwork and check the M box or I could lose my credential. I refused to check the M box. I just don't know if cis people would be sympathetic to that position and it would look like my fault to them.

@eleanor@chaosfem.tw @CordiallyChloe@tech.lgbt @oldladyplays@wargamers.social i also want to believe that cis people will stand up for us … but i doubt it will happen in any significant way. The STEM fields are very project-focused, and if losing a person or two means success, they’ll do it. They’ve always done that for the bottom line, and now that it includes an ethical angle won’t make a big dent. It was capitalism all along, who knew? 🤦🏻♀️🙄
