The STEM fields are very project-focused, and if losing a person or two means success, they’ll do it. They’ve always done that for the bottom line, and now that it includes an ethical angle won’t make a big dent. It was capitalism all along, who knew? 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

But they also don't even know anything's happening. The bigots successfully took away our voices, so now we have to claw our way out of that hole and force people to hear us again. I know it's hard. And I know it feels fruitless. But if we don't speak up now, then who will? I don't blame you if you don't have the spoons for it. Some days I don't either. But if you can find it in yourselves, I think you should write to them. And I encourage every single trans person to do the same when they're directly affected by these actions. It's the only way we can be heard.
