@xgranade@wandering.shop @aks@scalie.zone @Sibshops@mastodon.online yeaaaaah, I keep trying to think of a way to say "if plain text in the repo completely fucks up your shit, that is because your shit sucked. It is a you problem." under no circumstances should one be writing software in a way that means plain text in a fucking repo destroys everything and you have no way to remediate it. That is bad practice. Even going by the minimal standards of the word engineering as used in "software engineering", that is not software engineering. I don't want your code anywhere near any problem or infrastructure and I hope it DOES get deleted.
