LLMs are large scale statistical analysis of language corpus with a random number generator bolted on to mix up the results a bit. We already use GPUs for nuclear modelling etc - nothing to do with what is being sold as "AI" currently, and I'm not sure what help LLMs would bring See things like: https://www.anl.gov/aurora or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Capitan_(supercomputer)
