@Daveography@yeg.bike also... You Edmonton people seem to have more fun than us Calgary people. I'm kinda envious but I'm not envious enough to put up with your winters. 😂 ❄️ Buuut. I think I'm going to have to go on a vacation to Edmonton this summer. I'm into craft beer, pedestrianised city centres with neat cafes, cycling, urban hiking... Where should I go? What should I do? #Edmonton #YEG #YYC #Calgary

@ShanonRose@mstdn.ca @Daveography@yeg.bike #Edmonton is Festival City so there are cool events all summer long. However, I think that the ultimate is the Fringe Festival in August when the area around Whyte Avenue is jam-packed full of theatre venues and performances of all kinds. This places you close to #HappyBeerStreet, 99 Street south of Whyte, where there are 7 different breweries, with more close by. It's a perfect chance to cycle around having fun. The River Valley, to the north, includes hiking terrain.

@ShanonRose@mstdn.ca Well we've got lots of craft beer choices! Arcadia, Irrational, Odd Company, and Asymmetrical are all close together around 124 Street, which itself is a nice main street. Campio is downtown, and a personal favourite. Less pedestrian-friendly but still relatively bikeable are a bunch of breweries along 99 Street on the southside - see https://www.happybeerstreet.com/
