Would also appreciate knowing the Portuguese for "I accidentally ate something with fish sauce in it and now I am shitting myself lifeless, please give me drugs to fix this" and "this has prawns in it, call an ambulance for anaphylaxis" as well as recs for good gay bars in Lisbon.

@stavvers@masto.ai When i went there was a law that every place that serves food must have a vegan option (although i have heard that shellfish allergies can still trigger on some things like seaweed...) Also, you should know that the food they put on your table without asking is NOT complimentary, there's a charge if you touch it

@stavvers@masto.ai One of my relatives is allergic to celery, of all things. She carries a laminated card with illustrations of a celery bunch & someone keeling over while clutching their throat, along with warnings in several languages. She shows the card to the waiter and has him take it to the chef. It has helped a lot with accidental exposure. A similar card with shrimp & shellfish illustrations might help you.
