@gatesvp@mstdn.ca I guess…? But that invites the question “who will install new leadership?” After multiple terms of fascist rule, the USA will not recognizably be the USA anyhow.

@gatesvp@mstdn.ca @adamrice@c.im In Germany, it wasn't just new leadership but the complete dismantling (by executions, in some cases) of the party that had held power. Unless that happens to Republicans (and, barring civil war, it likely won't), the US may simply go through cycles of reasonable leadership followed by utter insanity, and no one will do business with them if it may last longer than an election cycle.
