@forty2@oldbytes.space just watch out for that 30kV under the picture tube anode cap, even with power off.

@ottaross@mastodon.social yep, I'm no stranger to CRTs & HV (got a 40kV probe and I know how to use it... 1 handed!). Just wondering if this is a "oh yeah, it's a capacitor" type problem or "it's an unobtanium IC" situation.
