@ricky_enger@mindly.social @Ranger1138@mindly.social I'm personally that heathen that prefers melted shredded cheese on my nachos. However, there are some favorite people in my life who prefer, (and, this would be my second choice if I did queso), to have it on top of the warm toppings. Think about it! It wraps all the toppings up together, like a nice hug. Ensuring no stray piece of meat or vegie comes flying out. This also means you get a satisfying mouthful of chip with toppings on it. (1/2)

Queso's like insurance for full chips every time. No premium has to be paid. So I'll take that guarantee. (2/2)

@walkside3@mastodon.social @ricky_enger@mindly.social @Ranger1138@mindly.social And then some do both. A thin layer of queso over the warm toppings covered with a melted cheddar blanket. Then everything’s all wrapped up together

@walkside3@mastodon.social @ricky_enger@mindly.social @Ranger1138@mindly.social here's my take on nachos, and it's probably unpopular. If I am making them for myself, I'd rather put the queso, meat, and other hot items in a bowl and then dip the nachos. I don't like to waste food, but I like soggy day old nachos even less. Now if I'm out somewhere, and a bunch of us gets a plate of nachos to share, that's totally different. I don't really care where the queso is, but I do like both queso and shredded cheese. For that matter, I like just about everything but the jalapeños. Also, nearly everyone forgets the olives, and I think this is a crime.
