  In 1989, I went on a 7-week missionary apprenticeship to Togo, West Africa. While there, I learned about this really neat game, and brought a version of it home with me. It was made of ebony, and the outside was beautifully carved. The game was simple and addictive, but no one seemed to know what it was called. The locals just referred to it as "the game."   Is anyone else having trouble with Dice World crashing on the iPhone? I've had trouble for the past three or four days, and haven't been able to get into it at all today.

  Regarding the previous boost, I found this really fascinating. Unfortunately, the app they suggest for generating a 42 Hz tone does not work for me. Anyone have any accessible options to recommend?

  And while I am thinking about sleep and such, I have another question. Can anyone recommend headphones or earbuds that work well for side sleepers? I really don't want to use one of those masks with the embedded earphones. They just make me really hot when I am trying to sleep.

  I was on Amazon this morning, looking at headphones for side sleepers. There must be some holiday I don't know about, because just about every pair of headphones I looked at was selling at a significant discount. So if you were looking for headphones or earbuds, now might be a good time to take a peek at the various sales that seem to be going on.

  I went and got my taxes done today, and it wasn't too painful. There weren't even any tears! I got my haircut, and it really needed it. I was embarrassed at how shaggy I looked, and contemplated putting a paper bag over my head. Anyway, that is all done. Then, I went with my parents to Olive Garden for dinner. It was nice to catch up with them, and I had two of my favorites, zuppa Toscana and chicken gnocchi soup!

  @baxaphobia@caneandable.social I suspect they will. For now, I am basically getting IV antibiotics around the clock. They are estimating I can go home Monday or Tuesday.

  @ricky_enger@mindly.social The difference between how I felt 12 hours ago and how I feel now is kind of startling, in a good way. It was kind of scary, but I'm glad everything is getting cleared up.

  @JamiePauls@caneandable.social Well, if you'd like to make a game of it, we could do that. My sister was concerned by my babbling, and wrote down some of the weirder stuff I said so that she would have it to show to the doctors. Among the things that topped the list were: apricots can't swim, and snickerdoodles don't fart. Go figure! I will never understand what was going on in my head at the time. She said I was talking very definitively, kind of like I was teaching a class. At one...
