@jloc0@mastodon.sdf.org I think about doing better blacklist management tools, bit I haven't done it. Blacklist management should go hand in hand with tagfiles.
Frankly, going beyond that, I really like automatic dependency handling. I assume Slackware avoids them out of sheer cussedness at this point. Being able to start with a minbase debootstrap in Debian is just nice. But I have no horse in that fight.

@mason@partychickens.net you should look at the min base lxc package list if you want a minimal slackware. I’m using that to build up a custom install for my web server to save space. The problem is I need to track every dep all the way thru for each thing I need after. Yes it’s a pita, and I agree, there needs to be something. I’m debating moving my server to another distro. I moved email off of slack during the 14.2 cycle and even removing by tagfile the OS is still too large in a size constrained place.
