In my experience, most of the behavior patterns that drive the “socialized male” argument as a rejection of trans femininity are at least as much based in race as in gender. There is an aspect of centering that I honestly see more related to whiteness than femininity. I feel like this is further promoted by the visibility of white trans people in comparison to others.

@FinalGirl@blackqueer.life Transphobia in general is irreconcilable with feminism because transphobia is fundamentally sexist. Someone who really believes in gender or sex equality wouldn't have problems with people changing genders (or choosing to have none or multiple or unconventional ones), and they certainly wouldn't constantly reinvent sex essentialism from different angles (souls, genes, bones, socialization... the list goes on).

@FinalGirl@blackqueer.life Thank you. Yes. I am a cis woman and the older I get, the better I can see the social, patriarchal thumb that has been pressed down on me through my life. If the patriarchs of our society perceive transwomen to be a threat, because they 'were not brought up right', they are sub rosa saying they have manipulated womens' power to where they like it (subjugated), and they don't want trans-spies letting that cat out if the bag.

I've been trying so hard to get my queer friends to stop saying that shit. i hear "you were socialized female a surprising amount" NO, i had a hyperfixation on psych and behavior profiles and know what to do to make it look that way. and SO WHAT, if you feel that you do things from a "socialized male" perspective then shut up and stop doing it like wtf??? "socialized [gender]" is just more of us poor folk being pitted against eachother. don't let the nazi psyops convince you that you're defined by what you're told, that's just self hate.
