I didn’t get any response for 2 weeks, a follow-up submitted through their website (after digging to find out even where to do so) also got no response. I eventually went to the Shinjuku Apple Store directly where it took about 30 seconds for them to look at my school ID and approve. BTO options were not available, but at least I got kind of what I wanted
