What’s the deal with a non trivial number of books not being in Apple Books? I find them often enough that it’s not one-offs. Big publishers too. Often the audiobook is there but not the ebook. Strange. Of course Kindle has them.

@hunter@copland.social – (I think Apple and Amazon have long had some deal where Apple Books gets to be a sales channel for pretty much everything Audible publishes.)

@hunter@copland.social I think the (unfair and a hit job from Amazon) suit that publishers were ‘setting prices’ cooled Apple’s heels in that segment. The publishers were wanting this because Amazon was selling ebooks as a loss leader to the point authors couldn’t get paid.
