  I shared this bill two weeks ago, and I'm staggered that no one else I've seen on Mastodon, or any other place online, has even mentioned it. It does indeed look like the law would require every American child and adult, parent or not, to verify their age with a third party just to power up and use their own computer or phone in everyday fashion. #AgeVerification #Apple #Microsoft #Google

  Apple's improved version of "Personal Voice" (announced in 2025 as coming "later this year") seems to have arrived in iOS and macOS 26.4, supported only on some newer devices. I tried it yesterday and it's great – only 10 phrases instead of 150, and almost no processing time before it's usable on device. Weirdly, it's apparently not in the 26.4 release notes, and no one I've found online (not even MacRumors!) has even...
