Also! Like heck is it always difficult to tell who has more expertise! The canonical example is someone mis-explaining the contents of a book he read once *to its author*.

@clew@ecoevo.social Yes, it is VERY difficult to tell who has more expertise unless you are both inside a canonical hierarchy of knowledge, like academia. But again, expertise is a very bad criterion. If the flowchart is humor, then fine, but if it is serious, then this is a really big and gnarly fuckup of understanding. As I illustrated in another post, a junior nurse is clearly less experienced than the head of surgery, but still must be allowed to shout STOP if they see an error @michcampbell@fediscience.org
