I like the affordances in this book I’m reading now. Every single page has author’s name, book name, chapter number and name, and page number. This helps in identifying the book by photo or quickly jotting down references to the chapter. It’s a good #UX!

    @aartaka@merveilles.town I assume this is originally for advertisement. When someone sneaks a peek over your shoulder on the train, they will see what you are reading and may be inspired to pick it up. :moomin_hmm: One of the few forms of advertising I'm actually cool with.

    @aartaka@merveilles.town alternatively: page borders of the sort you see in old books, except when you look closely, you notice the borders on these pages encode the same information both in human-readable form and a pattern that also redundantly encodes a two-dimensional barcode.
