  Re-did the micropore tape mod on both sides of my IEM and now it's not unbalanced, it's just quiet. But ah well, I find myself having to keep headphone volume in the 1-4% range anyway.

  Are you using #Tailscale with the #Mullvad add-on? The UI for canceling your subscription is a bit tricky. They don't show you the "remove add-on" button, you have to click on "purchase more" and then at the bottom of that screen you can remove the add-on. Btw, @tailscale@hachyderm.io , having to click "purchase more" to cancel is very misleading.

  Is there a way on #ZFS or #BTRFS to create a file that is the concatenation of two files? So, cat a b > ab, but only taking up metadata? Is the best way to just do the write and then ask the kernel to deduplicate it, and pray that it doesn't flush to disk in the meantime? This would be really useful for serving smaller chunks of packages on #NixOS or #Guix, but also potentially on other distros as well, or even for general download optimization.   I can't believe I found one (1) ANC headphone model that takes AAA batteries. I both can't believe that I found any at all, but also that there aren't more. And of course it's out of production. Well, at least there are still a few left on EBay.

  #NixOS homelab experience right now: - saned doesn't work, I wonder if I could just put a web app over SANE instead so my family can scan documents, i wonder if someone has made that already?   Fun #Linux tip: You don't have to run your file system / partitioning / etc tools as root! Just change ownership of the device to your regular user! Also you can use the folders under /dev/disk/by-* to identify your devices more easily instead of trying to match up the output of fdisk -l with /dev/sd*. sudo chown --dereference $USER /dev/disk/by-id/mmc-00000_0x69420*
