here's a few uses from TNG we've got transporter room wall panels, Q's post-nuclear-horror show trial wall panels, ceilings in an underground tunnel, and a whole slew of wall panels in a utility room of some sort

@beka_valentine@kolektiva.social I've been rewatching DS9 and I noticed their wall access panel was almost definitely a baby changing station with some various LED bits and a little black spray paint.
