I'm laying cardboard this week for 30' x 2' edge bed that I'm filling with native plants. Once it's in I will be able to check every box for my Audubon Society Bird friendly yard certification.

@chrisod @User47 @LillyHerself I have just a small area of my 10 acres set aside for a tiny lawn and a garden of about the same size, with raised garden beds. My chicken coop is currently empty and I'm kind of sad about that. I sure do miss having critters to feed all those weeds I pull to. To fight back against invasive weeds, I bought native grass seed a few years back and have had the pleasure of seeing it reseed itself every year. I collect the seeds in late summer and spread them.
