@steely_glint I find it annoying to get labeled as crazy enthusiast when doing anything with AI except condemning it, which happens a lot in the Fediverse.

@moreentropy @steely_glint I find it annoying that the objections and concerns that the early adopters are now running into are the exact things the sceptics warned of from the start. The downside of move fast and break things is that you're left with a lot of broken things that it turns out were quite valuable. Graphic artists have closed their portfolios for fear of theft. Music artists lose money on streaming platforms. Bounty hunt programs have quit due to AI-slop. Powergrids are struggling.

@moreentropy I can totally understand the creators who condemn AI - from their PoV it has stolen their past output and their future prospects, without giving so much as a pfennig back to them until forced to by courts.
