@funcrunch@me.dm Lots of ambivalence on this. Less access to any type of book is bad as far as I am concerned. That includes Mein Kampf and The Turner Diaries. Never thought I would see Harry Potter in that company. I also am bothered by people attacking trans individuals, who have enough problems to deal with.

Um… there’s zero obligation for a store owner to carry anything they don’t want to, for whatever reason they see fit. Maybe they also don’t want to carry Neil Gaiman books after the accusations of sexual misconduct from several women. Maybe they also don’t want to carry Orson Scott Card books after he was revealed as homophobic. What makes them obliged to carry any specific books at all? And the ‘I’ll shop elsewhere’ snipe at the end? Psst! If you want any books that aren’t being carried here, then yes, by definition, you will shop somewhere else. But thanks for the needless flourish as you see yourself out. 👍🙄
