I’m finalizing our appliance research as we’re nearing our kitchen build. I wish there was a filter for non-WiFi enabled appliances so I don’t see that nonsense.

@Jillianmarisa@vmst.io Good luck! My other problem is the lack of real search to get accurate reviews and information on the appliances. Does it have a timer? Does it continue to roll the clothes if you don't get to the machine within a couple of minutes? These used to be features you could easily discover. Now? Phhhffft. You know, we're going to need photos of the kitchen before and after. 😄

Kitchen question: single basin sink or double? We will have a dishwasher so we will no longer be hand washing dishes, if that sways your choice. #DisOldHouse

@Jillianmarisa@vmst.io If you find that filter, let me know. I'd love find a washer with no electronics. Our current washer spins sometimes, doesn't sometimes, sometimes comes on in the middle of the night to drain water that is not in the washer.

@Jillianmarisa@vmst.io I just wish there was no such thing as Wi-Fi enabled appliances. I recently signed up for a meal delivery service, just to try something new. It was surprisingly affordable – certainly cheaper than takeout – and it came with a free multipurpose countertop oven. I haven't seen mine yet; I'm not home. But I did see my friend's and discovered that it requires an app to operate. I suspect that if I ever stop using the service, they'll remotely brick the oven.🙄
