@jilleduffy @SimonCHulse Oh, and coffees. Chronically ill wifey was told she should just be at risk (eg die) so they could go out for coffee. The “they” in this case were family and people we called friends. We call them neither now.

@jilleduffy I did see one person in our neighborhood “bug out”. Pickup truck with a massive pile of stuff strapped down. Must’ve been April or May of 2020? They didn’t come back till summer 2021. Another neighbor was seen cutting plywood for their windows. We got “stay at home” before most of the rest of the country here in southeastern PA. It was surreal.

@jilleduffy That drove me absolutely insane. Like, they were *literally* prepared for that. They defined their whole personality on the fact that they were prepared for that!
