if you weren't able to tell from my recent posts, i am well beyond my Fuck This threshold at current job and would like new job
i do computer things, mostly with lots of database or distributed systems (regretful); looking to *not* use or build LLM things. where does one find such a job these days?
strongly considering pivoting into tech-adjacent things; maybe software/tech nonprofits, civic tech, or just some "normal" company that has a solid in-house software org (eg capital one, though i'd prefer not-bank)?

@skimbrel i quit a lucrative career in tech about six month's ago. all outta fucks and literally losing my mind. now i drive a city bus and have never been happier. sure, we've had to tighten our belts a bit. but that has been it's own reward, as it's gotten us to take a hard look at our consumption and see how out-of-aligment-with-our-values things had become.
