May 4th, 1970. On this date, Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on unarmed students at Kent State University who were peacefully protesting the Vietnam War. They killed 4 students, and wounded another nine, one permanently. In case you don&#39;t recall your government murdering fellow Citizens without cause... My oldest sister was heading off to college the next Fall... one of the colleges she'd narrowed her choices to was Kent State. Needless to say, the murders there freaked her out.

@chessert so how many school kids have been shot since? How many police murders? How many ICE murders in the last year? It's important to remember these past betrayals. And it's even more important to note they are ongoing and normalized.
