Getting some nails together for the straps I posted earlier. I&#39;ve *hated* making nails. I always seem to get misshapen things with off-center heads and just not enough space for decorative work. Today I broke the jynx: I just used *way* more material in the heads, and wouldn&#39;t you know it they came out much better. Started from 3/4&quot; (18mm) square, and cut off a good 12mm (1/2&quot;) of bar to make up the heads. Suddenly they held heat and had enough mass to decor...

Claude code agents aren&#39;t a clone of one &quot;decent&quot; engineer. They are a temp agency with little knowledge of your code base, little incentive to do the important gardening, and, frankly, 7 out of 10 are middling skilled, 2 often are good, and the last one is utter shite. Supervise appropriately.

Decorative. After the hinge straps on the door to Sam Yellin&#39;s office. Didn&#39;t have appropriate curved chisels or round punches, or straight chisel of appropriate bluntness, so I forged those up as well. A good morning. #blacksmithing
