So a Macintosh plus clone can run system 1 through to system 7.5.5 A minimig running shapeshifter can run system 7 up to system 8.1 A Wii running WiiMac can theoretically do Mac OS X 10.0 to 10.4 Then an intel hackintosh can run 10.4+ So we just need a stop gap PowerPC system for system 8.1 up to 9.2.2, to complete the timeline of not Macintoshes that can run Mac OS 😅

@DosFox What about the efforts to run those versions on CHRP hardware? EDIT: Nah, my bad. The CHRP versions cap out at 8.0, so the gap is still there.

@DosFox It’s be a lot of work but running in an IBM power server would be fun. POWER5+ is I think the closest relation to the G5.

@DosFox what about something like the pegasos 1/2 boards or the efika PPC (although the efika PPC would need a moddified instance of open firmware so they can run a ppc vbios rather than using a x86 emu to run a x86 vbios, and possibly the same for the pegasos boards) since these systems were at least somewhat based around the CHRP spec
