@ricmac Incorrect. Mosaic was never open source. It just had very generous licensing terms.

@ricmac (The Guardian 28 Sep 2025 "Why I gave the WWW away for free") "In 1993, I convinced my Cern managers to donate the world wide web, putting it into the public domain. We gave the web away to everyone." PD means it had no copyright. CERN amended it later in 1994 to prevent appropriation. "The new versions will remain freely available, for general use, and at no cost. @ricmac quien no ha usado un navegador web en modo texto es difícil que alcance a entender lo maravilloso que nos parecía un navegador gráfico y lo "elegantes" que eran aquellas páginas con fondo gris.
