A NATURALIST is someone interested in Nature, whether professionally (Sir David Attenborough) or casually (bird-watchers). Its only other meanings are in art or philosophy. A NUDIST is someone who prefers to go nude. The term NATURIST means both. It&#39;s had the first meaning since the 17c (originally referring to healthy living), but gained the second a little over a century ago, in an effort to distinguish serious nudism from, say, streaking or sex parties. https://www.bbc.com/news/art...
