Other than the “rulo de cabra” type cheese which is hard to cut differently I’m pretty much cutting everything differently. Which is great. “French way” is the least preferred way for me.

Yep, can confirm. My partners side of the family (from NE & South France) does this…. Sometimes there’s a debate of preference when more people at the table.
