@VanessaK He helped me learn more of the necessity of 'PREscient', instead of mostly post defacto 'hindsight = 20/20' science. As usual, the priority is in a sustainable 'middle range', of perpetual change*. *not a rap on such a meaningful memory

@VanessaK I must remember that quote next time I ask an awkward question that I'm not only getting rejected for a date, but that I am also doing science

  • @VanessaK Good we don't have a Jordan Peterson day to follow. "Define science". "Define real". "Define method". "Define feel good"

@VanessaK ironic use of the very thing he claims science precludes. Unfortunately misinformation is very much upheld as "science", & science has been used to justify atrocities. Science is as much the good stuff as it is the bad, & it is largely dependent on institutions that have (or will) bent the knee to fascism.

@VanessaK @Su_G #TerryPratchett was the originator of the sayings "Lie-to-Children", and "There's no justice: there's just *us*." I read The Dark Side of the Sun, #strata and a boatload of #Discworld novels in my early teens, shortly before discovering @gregeganSF 's work Quarantine.
